Ben Davis played for Herts Senior County Team

On Sunday 10th June 2007, club junior Ben Davis, who has just turned 15, played for Hertfordshire Men v Cambridge University 1st team at Fenners on the University's grass courts. Ben won a tough singles match 7-6 7-6 against a much stronger and more experienced Cambridge Captain. The fixture was drawn 6 matches each.
Ben recently returned from a 2 week clay court trip representing Great Britain at European Tennis Association tournaments in Slovenia, accompanied by the LTA's head of 16U boys Leon Smith. Leon coached Andy Murray from the age of 12 to 17 and Ben hopes that with Leon's help he can follow in Andy's footsteps.
